Mario Kart has been gracing the faces of systems since 1992 and gamers still cant get enough. I know some players felt let down after the Mario Kart release two years ago on the Game Cube but have no fear Mario Kart is back and bigger than ever. There has never been a hand held racing game like this in the history of the universe. Game developers really took the time and care to bring Mario Kart back to the game players loved. They focused extrem details on graphics and used the technology of the Nintendo DS to create an amazing playability.
Mario Kart DS is absolutely the best game in the series yet. Once you start up the game the menu screen will be displayed. The menu screen is by far one of the most impressive and easy to navigate that hand held systems have to offer. Mario Kart DS has single player mode which is home to the classic Grand Prix, Time Trial, VS, and battle modes. You will notice some of the classic tracks taken from previous games in the series as well as a slew of new tracks.
Mario Kart DS also has battle modes (the return from previous removal). You can play against a computer or you can play against up to 8 other players using the online mode. This means you can not only play with other players local and in your own vicinity but with anyone anywhere. This makes the game extremely exciting like never before. Who doesn't love to stay in touched with loved ones and friends using a good old game of Mario Kart.
The only criticism I could say is that the controls are a bit heavy handed. At times that can be a pain but the overall playability of the game makes up for it.
