Yes that is right. Some recent information has come to light giving environment conscious people more options to help our world. The researchers weighd the energy taken and spent on these things and the alternatives and have found the following:
The packaging alone spent on video games uses more energy than the energy spent on downloading games.
The energy spent on transporting video games to sell at retail locations is much higher than the energy spent on downloads.
Downloading games creates enough jobs to offset less jobs spent making the games
Downloading games is cheaper to the customer but creates a market that is still profitable for video game makers
As you can see there are no losers when it comes to downloading video games. If you want to change the way you game for a better planet CLICK HERE.
I rated Cheat Planet as my number 1 review site. Now for number 2: IGN. IGN is a big BIG brand name. They work closely with some of the largest companies in the world to bring you the latest info's and reviews. They also do not have to fall to the temptation of giving hyped up reviews because they just don't need to. So your wondering, why are they number 2?
The first reason is that they are bit light on Nintendo DS reviews and information. Their focus is not as much on the hand-held systems. Cheat Planet contains more Nintendo DS information than IGN. Since we are focusing on the Nintendo DS then Cheat Planet would rate over IGN.
The second reason I put Cheat planet above IGN is because IGN is not as user friendly. Their site has a good look to it but the extensive design makes the site itself less user friendly. Meaning it is harder to find the information you want. And since IGN has less information on the Nintendo dS; the information you are probably look for is even harder to find.
Now since they are my top two pics for reviews and resources for gaming; I would recommend using them both. They are both companies that you can trust to give you reliable information that isn't hyped just so they can make money. If anyone has any other gaming sites they can trust, feel free to post them in the comments.
I have been reviewing games recently so I thought we might change things up and Review reviewing sites. I'm a blogger so you know I am going to give you my honest opinion about games. Most people want to find three or four resources before they decide what games they would like. Of course if you download free games, or want to download free music or TV to your hand held Nintendo system you can save yourself lots of time and money. But for the sake of making sure users have the most relevant information available I thought I would review some popular gaming sites.
You see many of these sites are there to make lots and lots of money. That's just fine, but occasionally you will see a review of a game on some of the popular sites, then get the game and realize it wasn't what it was hyped to be. This is because sometimes they rate something higher than it is because they get a piece of the bigger puzzle. So who do you trust?
The first game review site I would like to review is Cheat planet. This is because Cheat planet covers more than 8 systems and offers far more than reviews. Why does this make their reviews better. You see they are primarily a cheat code site. This means that they get lots of traffic to their site because people want cheat cods. So they get all the traffic they need off of cheat codes and there for can give more honest reviews.
You see a site who is primarily their for reviews might get tempted to hype games to make a buck where Cheat Planet offers a great service that keeps them from even having to be tempted. You can check it out for yourself here : http://www.gamesradar.com/cheats or of course just Google cheat planet.
Ever had anyone tell you to quit frying your brain on video games? I know we all have experienced that at one time or another. No matter if you are a spouse trying to please the other or a child trying to pacify your parents you can prove you arn't frying your brain! Here enters Meteos DS. Meteos DS is a well developed puzzle game that was specificaly designed to help your brain grown new nurons. Q Entertainment spent some time with a few bright scientists and took quite a bit of trouble to develop a puzzle game that was good for you!
After all that work how could you not go and download this game? This way next time someone thinks ur frying your brain, well challenge them to a game of Mereos and prove them wrong. This is one of the best puzzle games because it works on many levels. It is good for you AND it also has a fun story line with and interesting twist. If that isnt enough this games soundtrack is known as one of the best. The music alone pulls you in to the game.
What is most interesting is the way the developers integrated music was not only to make it sounds nice. Their research led them to integrating the music so that it would have additional stimulating effects on the brains neurons. Wow guys. Great thinking.
I recommend this game for anyone 15 and up. This game is especially good for us as we get older. What a fun and great way to keep our minds young!
"This is not my video but it highlights this fun and cute game and has one of my favorite songs"
Yes, I will admit at fist I blew this type of role playing game off but I am ever so sorry for that now. This game has made such a positive effect on my life that I am going to take a bit more of a personal take on this particular review. You see a few years back I had a wonderful Labrador retriever. He was my darling friend and a part of my family member. My children and I raised him as a pup, trained him, and took him everywhere.
His name was Lazlo from Richerd Hindliengs "Time Enough For Love" But when he was 3 and my children were still very little something heartbreaking happened. You see it truly does happen that people will steal a dog to sell. And like that we lost a part of our family. It was so hard for us to move on after losing him. But then comes this great little game. So thank you Nintendodogs for helping to mend my families and my childrens' broken hearts.
Nintendo Dogs is of course a fun game where you get to raise and train a dog and dress him up in all kinds of outfits. You get to explore using your stylus to learn how to master tricks. Of course don't forget to feed your pet and love him. And you even can tend to him when sick. For my children and I this game was wonderful because we could play together, learn together and heal together. But this game can get to the heart of anyone.
It is so fun and it doesn't matter what sort of a dog lover you are. Whether your love is a beagle, a chow, a terrier. You will find a little pooch who you will love minus having to clean up the poop. Or at least in real life.
This is a perfect game to use as a learning tool. What better way to teach your child to care for a bet than to give them a virtual pet they care care for. This is so far beyond the old giga pets. Nintendo Dogs really does give a realistic view in to owning a pet. They will learn everything they need to know to care for a pet. Knowledge is the best medicine. A child who truley understands the need of a pet cares for it better. So I recommend this game for children between 5-12 (girls especially). I also recomend parents play it with their kids, its a great way to connect with your little one and watch them love to learn!
